A cozy French white-tablecloth bistro/brasserie, Anjou has been serving the authentic and innovative French cuisine of chef/owner Pierre Morin since 1993. Tucked away in a little alley near Union Square, it is a little bit of Paris with a charming attitude and ambiance, a menu with many choices and the prices are a good value, too. At lunchtime it bustles with shoppers, business lunches, tourists, and pre-matinee diners. Evenings are more leisurely, although many diners who are headed for the nearby theaters come for an early dinner, knowing that the staff will make sure that they will have a wonderful meal and be on time for the curtain call. With a reputation for good food and service for over 12 years, the most frequently heard comments are: " Our meal was as good as always" and "We always come here when we are in San Francisco." Nostalgic for Paris and France...come to Anjou and enjoy the good food and friendly atmosphere!
