Tucked away on East 52nd Street you will find a contemporary American Bistro with great food, wines & service. Executive Chef Anton Nocito, formerly of Union Square Cafe & MOMA, has created a menu of intensely flavored yet uncomplicated dishes using carefully selected seasonal ingredients combined with a love for classic flavors. Avon Bistro is the perfect place to stop in for drinks at the bar, to enjoy with ginger "iced" oysters or stuffed dates & a wide variety of daily changing perfectly matured cheeses. Dine over current menu selections such as endive salad with pears, Hudson Valley grilled trout, slowly braised beef short ribs & chocolate-hazelnut cake with caramel creme. The wine list, designed by General Manager Steve Remming, showcases the world's most prestigious small producers all with an eye towards value.
