It was a very good restaurant, but they went down hill the past few years. Very poor now.

I blame management; because ALL THE BAD EXPERIENCES we endured at Azul are considered CONTROLLABLE/ PREVENTABLE problems. Our reservations were made 2 months in advance for 6:30 pm on Valentines Day. However, Azul called later in February to inform us that we must change our reservation to either 5pm or 8pm seating. We could never make it on time at 5pm (from work) so we were very disappointed to be moved to 8pm. We could NOT find any other restaurant at this late date for Valentine's Day. After arriving at 7:50pm we were told that seating won't start till 8pm. However, the huge crowd scheduled for the 8pm seating packed Azul's little bar room and over flowed outside till 9pm. We were seated after 9 pm. The food was cold: the ravioli appetizer was rubbery, the set menu never mentioned options for my non-meat eater husband, and there were no bread plates for our bread. We had to correct their charging us for a $100 bottle of wine, when we ordered only 2 glasses. The restroom was atrocious. Literally, there wasall over the toilet and walls in one of two toilet stalls. As dinner finally completed.... at 11:15pm we walked out of Azul. I spotted the manager (Roberto) sitting at the bar tables with a co-worker leaning against the wall... Roberto yelled out to us, "okay, thanks!!...... oh whatever". Serious? Is that the attitude Azul has? GREED has clouded good managerial skills. The restaurant can not handle a capacity crowd: the food, service, and facilities were so POORLY displayed. Shame on you AZULs. At least, the restaurant still offers a romantic scenery situated near the beautiful Ko Olina fish ponds.
