Sorellina Boston, Massachusetts
Amazing restaurant-Beautiful atmosphere and fantastic food Jul 22 2008, 09:47

Sorellina is a must try in Boston. Not only was the food incredible, but the staff was friendly and helpful, and the environment was modern-cozy. Although the menu is pricey, it is definitely worth it. If you live outside of the city there is valet for your convenience, and if you live in the city, the prime location assures that you are close to the restaurant, no matter where you live. Definitely try Sorellina!!

BarLola , Massachusetts
Fun bar to go to with friends... Jun 20 2008, 11:33

BarLola is a cute little restaurant/bar to go to with friends, especially on a nice night. They have fun topas and drinks (try their Sangria, its delicious!) and the environment outside is casual, but cute. Since it is located a block from Newbury Street, it is a great place to go to if you are thinking about going out in that area.

Vox Populi Boston, Massachusetts
Good place for lunch Jun 06 2008, 14:32

Vox's menu is very traditional. You can get soups, salads, sandwiches, and a couple of other (but rather unoriginal) items that many restaurants have, such as chicken and beef dishes. HOWEVER, they have an amazing new liquor called Domaine de Canton, and they have a couple of martinis that they make with that liquor. All drinks made with this liquor is amazing, definitely recommend going to Vox for those. Other than that, Vox is a great place to go out for singles or those attached. It has a cool atmosphere, great music, and a nice staff.

Bar 10 Boston, Massachusetts
Great place to meet friends for drinks Jun 06 2008, 11:00

With its modern & sleek atmosphere, Bar 10 is a great place to meet friends for a drink. With seating at the bar, as well as small tables, Bar 10 creates an environment for people to either hang out with only their friends, or to mingle with everyone. The drinks were phenomenal, and although the food menu is short, it still provides great snacks. Definitely a bar to check out.

Cafeteria Boston , Massachusetts

Cafeteria Boston is a great new restaurant located on trendy Newbury Street. With many Italian-American dishes to choose from, you are sure to find something that you will love. The pasta dishes are amazing, along with the Kobe Burger. With a modern vibe, Cafeteria Boston is great for a casual lunch with friends, or even a nice intimate dinner. This restaurant is a must-try!!

Gaslight Boston, Massachusetts
Cute/Trendy restaurant, great food and service Feb 19 2008, 14:48

Gaslight is a great place to eat if you are looking for a trendy restaurant with a modern atmosphere and great food. First of all, I loved the drink menu. They had great drinks and they weren't too overpowering. The food was good, and it was not as expensive as I had imagined it was going to be. Additionally, the waiters and waitresses were all extremely nice and helpful. I also really liked that even though the restaurant was very busy, it still felt like the table I was at (including me and 2 friends) was set apart, I didn't feel like I was eating on top of people.

If you are thinking of trying Gaslight, definitely make reservations. My friends and I got there at 9 and still had a 45 minute wait. The restaurant is new, so you have to expect that.

Ciao Bella Boston Boston, Massachusetts
Cute Italian Restaurant, Great Location Feb 19 2008, 14:42

Ciao Bella is a cute little Italian eatery, located directly on Newbury Street. The menu is filled with traditional items, and they also have a couple of items that I have not seen on menus at Italian restaurants. The food was good, however, nothing to shout about. The wait staff was very nice and professional, but sometimes they were a bit slow.

The Cheesecake Factory Boston, Massachusetts

I ate at this particular Cheesecake Factory and my experience was awesome! The food came out so quickly, and everything was made exactly how we ordered it. The staff was excellent, everyone was so sweet to us, especially Alex Ross, the manager that night. He made sure that everything was to our liking, and made us feel special, which is a characteristic that you don't see much of lately. Definitely check this Cheesecake Factory out!!

Barry's Village Deli Boston Suburbs, Massachusetts
Great Deli in Newton Jan 07 2008, 14:13

Barry's Village Deli is a well-known delicatessen in Newton (specifically the village Waban.) It has been around for many many years and they serve very fresh meats, breads, salads, etc. They have continuously made amazing breakfasts (trust me, I lived up the street from them for 20+ years) and they are always fast and nice. The best is when you go to a party and it is catered by Barry's; everyone loves the food. Definitely try Barry's if you are looking for a good delicatessen.

Vintage Restaurant Boston Suburbs, Massachusetts

This restaurant reminds me a lot of The Met Club in Newton. It has the modern steakhouse feel to it, and the food is good, however since it is a bit out of the way for me I have only been here once. I would definitely recommend it, though, to those who live in that area. The food is good, and they have a nice wine list.

Union St. Bar and Grill Boston Suburbs, Massachusetts
Good times Jan 04 2008, 12:43

If you are from Newton, then Union Street is the place "where everybody knows your name;" if you're not from Newton, Union Street is still a good place to relax, grab food/a beer, and watch your favorite Boston sports teams. On Wednesdays (I believe) they hold have trivia on the top floor, which is so much fun to play with a couple of your friends. During the summer (and possibly spring) they open up the patio so that people can enjoy the nice weather while eating, drinking, and being merry. The menu is definitely filled with a variety of foods to choose from, but don't go there expecting to have amazing gourmet food, go there to eat decent food in a fun and relaxed setting.

Skipjack's Newton Boston Suburbs, Massachusetts
Go to Legal Seafood Jan 04 2008, 12:31

Located on the busy Needham Street in Newton, Skipjack's offers a variety of seafood dishes along with a sushi bar. The last time I went here was for my mother's birthday and it was nothing very special. For one, during the course of the dinner the waiter asked if we needed more time, and when we said "just about 5 more minutes," there was no excuse for him to leave us waiting for him for an extra 30 minutes, especially since the restaurant was dead. Secondly, my meal was not good at all. I understand that when you go to a seafood restaurant, you shouldn't expect too too much from the chicken dishes, but my dinner was tasteless but still managed to leave a bad taste in my mouth. Finally, when the time came to sing my mom "Happy Birthday," the staff gave a pathetic performance which can only be compared to Britney Spears' MTV music awards disaster. Needless to say, it was not the best birthday dinner...

Regatta of Cotuit Cape Cod and the Islands, Massachusetts
My favorite in Cape Cod Jan 04 2008, 12:20

Located in a previously owned house, Regatta of Cotuit is and has been my favorite restaurant in Cape Cod. The setting is so intimate and beautiful, and every waiter or waitress that I have had has always been extremely accommodating and very sweet. The menu is not long, per se, but it is varied and one is always able to pick something that they want to eat. It is a great place for one to take their significant other for a romantic night out; however, if you have kids you will most definitely want to get a baby-sitter because this is not the place for children.

Douzo Boston, Massachusetts
Great, fresh food Jan 04 2008, 12:04

I went to Douzo one night after I left the gym and I was impressed instantly by both the restaurant and the food. The scenery was amazing; very stylish and sophisticated. Loud enough so you can hear it, but soft enough so not to disrupt conversation or though, funky/fun music played throughout the restaurant, making the mood a bit more up-beat. The food, however, was the best part. It was incredibly fresh and tasty; it really hit the spot. The steamed shrimp shumai was to die for and the California rolls were amazing. Another great thing about Douzo is that it is located in a prime spot, making it easy to eat there before or after a long night.

McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Park Plaza Boston, Massachusetts
Not the best...at all Jan 03 2008, 11:06

McCormick and Schmicks's Seafood in no way does justice to everything that Boston has to offer. If you are looking for a good seafood restaurant, you would be disappointed, if not angry, that you chose this place over other restaurants. I am a seafood lover and M&S did not satisfy me in the least. The food took forever to come out and it wasn't even half as good as I expected. Don't go here for seafood, try Legal Seafoods instead.

Eastern Standard Boston, Massachusetts
Good food, great service Jan 03 2008, 10:55

I went to Eastern Standard for a family meal, and I was very impressed by both the food and the staff. All of the food that I tasted and ordered was very good, and the menu was filled with variety. Moreover, I absolutely adored the staff. Everyone was so nice, and even remembered my sister and brother-in-law from the last time that they dined there. That made the meal extra special for everyone. Something that I always look for in a restaurant is the atmosphere, and Eastern Standard has a great one. They have great, roomy tables, and they also have a grand bar for people to sit at to eat, chat, or drink. I would definitely give this restaurant a try.

Croma Boston, Massachusetts
Very modern Jan 03 2008, 10:45

I have only been to Croma once, but when I went I was very impressed by it. Located on trendy Newbury Street, the restaurant definitely found its niche. As far as I remember, the food was excellent, giving fantastic twists to traditional meals. My favorite part, however, was the decor of the restaurant. Fittingly, chrome (or, at least what looks like chrome) is located almost everywhere (don't worry though, it doesn't look tacky), giving Croma a futuristic feel/look.

Capital Grille - Chestnut Hill Boston Suburbs, Massachusetts
Good food, nothing too exciting... Jan 03 2008, 10:38

Capital Grille is a restaurant that I feel like has been around since the beginning of time. I used to go here as a little, little girl and it was one of the cliest, and delicious restaurants. Today, Capital Grille is still a very good restaurant with a cly atmosphere; however, with other restaurants moving in and around the area, it seems that what once gave Capital Grille that 'spark' has slightly faded. The food is still good, and the atmosphere is still beautiful, but when there are other restaurants which serve tastier food in a nicer atmosphere, at the same price, I tend to almost always go to those other places.

Brasserie Jo - Boston Boston, Massachusetts
Mediocre at best Jan 03 2008, 10:11

I have dined at Brerie Jo a couple of times and each time I leave thinking, "I wish I had gone somewhere else." Their food selection is okay, and even when you find something that you like, it probably will not taste as great as you had hoped. The service there is the exact same way. I was not impressed by the staff by any means, mainly because it seemed to be a hle for them to wait on us. I would not recommend this restaurant. The only good memories I have of Brerie Jo is that the last time I went there my second nephew was born, which gave me an even bigger reason to look forward to leaving.

Abe & Louie's Boston, Massachusetts
One of the best Steak Houses Jan 03 2008, 10:00

Abe and Louie's is an amazing steak house. The food there is incredible, whether you are ordering steak, chicken, fish, pasta, etc. With an array of food, and impeccable service, Abe and Louie's has seemed to skyrocket their popularity among the Boston crowd. I have never gone there and had a bad meal, or bad service for that matter, and no matter what I order, they have customized my meal to my liking. In addition, those who are not in the mood for a sit-down dinner, and would prefer to have a great meal but feel more relaxed, Abe and Louie's has a spacious bar that you can sit at to eat, drink, socialize, or watch TV. I would recommend Abe and Louie's to anyone and everyone.
