About leselle
I'm so obsessed with food! I have difficulty treating myself with shoes or clothes, but I have no problem shelling out the big bucks for truffles - yummy! I love dining out, mostly for ego-boosting, since I'm usually unimpressed with the restaurants out there and could, for the most part, replicate the dishes better, and that's with no formal culinary degree. When I find a place that serves up tasty, original fare, with impeccable service, the whole world knows about it. I just relocated to Atlanta after surveying the NY restaurant scene for over 7 years. I can't wait to see what Hotlanta's culinary hot shots have to offer. You'll be hearing about it!

Truly, this place is such a disappointment! I think it's existence solely continues because of it's Atlantic Station location. From the loud atmosphere, to the uninformed wait staff, and the horrible food, which has to come from inexperienced cooks, I wish I realized that the beeper going off signaled ready to be disappointed. Seriously, from a 45 minute wait for the table, to a 45 minute wait for the food, what other clues was I waiting for? Mac and cheese tastes like the one in the box at home (since I have never partaken, I can't tell you the name). And whatever you do, do not order the pork chop. I should have known that since the waiter didn't ask how I wanted it that that meant trouble. Sure enough, after chewing for what seemed to be 45 minutes, I complained. However, my new chop came rare inside. I quickly gave my waiter a lesson in "death by pork" and sent it back. It finally came back perfectly done, but they forgot to season it! The only saving grace was the creme brulee, which was bruleed perfectly and had the best creamy vanilla creme I had tasted in a while. I'm not sure if the creme brulee is worth the 45 minute wait, though. So I'll try to find you more good creme brulee so you don't have to be disappointed at Strip.

Toulouse Restaurant Atlanta, Georgia

I was told that this restaurant is a little out of the way, but it's worth finding. Nah! There are other adventures that would lend a lot more pleasing end than heading out on The Adventures of Toulouse. The service, though friendly was average. The ambiance, though a little cozy, could use some sprucing up. Most importantly, the food was nothing noteworthy at all. I thought the goat cheese in filo sounded amazing, but it sounds better than it is. It's a nice concept, but the presentation is elementary and it needs to be served warm, not room temperature. My companion had trout, which, yes, you guessed it, was average, and I had the scallops, which, though fresh, needed some seasoning.
My rating: 5 out of 10.
